Interpersonal Interaction

ABSTRACT:
8 pages in length. The verbal interaction that took place between the two individuals speaks to the variations in social communication that govern one's existence. While the man was inherently more abrupt, straightforward and outspoken, the woman – who felt as though she were being somewhat attacked regarding her religious position – was significantly more subdued and reserved, even to the point of being intimidated. Her inability to confront the man with just as strong a conviction as what he demonstrated only served to make her feel that much more ill at ease with the entire conversation. Indeed, this interaction illustrates the manner by which people are bound by certain criteria they have developed throughout their lives, often to the extent of being ill-equipped to handle such intense interpersonal contact. Bibliography lists 6 sources.
